This chenille hanging (110 x 95cms) was inspired by some of the intense sunsets we get here in Kerry. I made the metres and metres of wool chenille on the loom first, a painstaking process, blending the colours as I wove. Then used that cut chenille to weave the finished piece. It is hard to depict in a photo how rich and tactile the piece is. Well worth the effort. It has a woven channel at the top through which runs a strong wooden pole for hanging.
