Chenille all wool rug measuring 130 cms x 180 cms. I made the chenille on the loom first, periodically interspersing the colours for the flowers, cut the chenille into strips and then wove the rug. This rug has a very luxurious feel because it has the double thickness of the chenille.
Thumbnail : From bottom left I started with the photograph and moving anti-clockwise, a little drawing. Next I chopped up bits of wool in the colours I intended using and glued them to a page to achieve the fluffy look. Top, photo of rug.
